Do I need a Work Permit to apply for a China work visa?
Yes. Under Z visa rules, applicants must have a valid Notice of Foreigner’s Work Permit issued via their prospective employer before applying. We guide you and your employer through the required documents.
Do I need to apply for a residence permit after entry?
Yes, for long-term visas (Z, X1, Q1, S1). These visas require conversion to a relevant Residence Permit at the local Exit-Entry Administration within 30 days of entry.
Can I work on a student or business visa in China?
No. Employment is strictly prohibited under M or X visa categories. To work legally in China, you must obtain a Z visa and convert it to a Work-Type Residence Permit.
How long does it take to process a Chinese visa?
Standard visa approval takes approximately 7 working days from the date complete documents are submitted.
